We compared cups, pints, quarts, and gallons on Friday using water and some measuring tools. When we finished, we created our own version of these measurements into our own Gallonbot men! Check out the fun we were having!

We finished both parts of the Math M-Step test this week! The students worked so hard and we are all so proud of them! We are continuing to really emphasize memorization of multiplication and division facts. Please continue to work on these at home. Also, we are reviewing Fractions this week and next! Look at how we work on Fractions:
We have finished another unit on Multiplication and Division. We are not going to take a test on this unit, because we have been continuing our study of Multiplication and Division. This week will be spent reviewing Fractions. On Thursday and Friday we will take the Math portions of the Michigan standardized test for 3rd graders, the M-Step. After the M-Step we will continue our work with Multiplication and Division to get ready for the NWEA tests in May.
Our new Math unit has a BUNCH of new vocabulary words and we are slowly but surely taking our time to learn each one. We have used gestures with our bodies, watched videos, used whiteboards, and completed worksheets. Last week we also looked up these twelve words in our Math Glossary and hung them on the wall in our room. If you have time at home, please review these words with your child.
