Last week Nick shared all about himself as the Star Student. We learned that he has two big brothers and he is the youngest. He had a fantastic trip to Kalahari with his family. Nick told us about his funny time chasing girls on the playground. He likes to eat Poptarts and drink water. Nick also likes to ride his bike and play with his friends.

When Nick had time with Edward, he named him Ali. Nick and Ali read the book Flat Stanley together. Ali had to be careful because he was almost attacked by Nick's dog!
When Amari was the star student he told us about his brothers. He likes to go to Cedar Point and read books about Snakes. He likes to play basketball and eat pizza and drink juice.
Thank you PARENTS AND STUDENTS for all of the fun valentines cards and tasty treats! During Edward's time at Amari's house he was called Isaac. They dressed him in baby clothes and played video games and spent time with Amari's family!
A few weeks ago we celebrated the 100th day of school with teachers and students from all three third grade classes at Pinewood. You may remember seeing that we "aged" the students to look 100 years old with our Aging Booth app on the iPad. Students also drew and colored self-portraits of themselves TODAY and again at 100 years old. They wrinkled the paper to show them with real wrinkles, too. Check out these students from all three classes in action!
This Science Study guide is going home with students TODAY, Friday, February 19. Students will have their test on Wednesday February 24. Please study at home. (Answers are at the bottom of the study guide!)
As part of 3rd grade 100th day festivities, the third graders spent equal time in Mrs. Elliott's class, Mrs. Wisniewski's class, and Ms. Ansell's class. In Ms. Ansell's class we drew self-portraits of ourselves today at 8 or 9 years old and ourselves at 100. We also used the free app: Aging Booth to add a "few" years to us! |
AuthorMs. Ansell teaches third grade SLI at Pinewood Elementary. This is her 6th year at Pinewood and 11th year in Warren Woods. Archives
