We are very thankful for our loving and caring families! We spent some time writing about them and making a thankful turkey in the hallway. We hope you all had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!
Last Tuesday all third graders spent some fun time in all three third grade classes getting ready for Thanksgiving. They decorated turkey apples with Mrs. Elliott. They read about the Old Lady who Swallowed a Pie with Mrs. Wisniewski. And they wrote thankful feathers and made pie with Ms. Ansell. Look how much fun they had!!! Please remember that there is no school on Wednesday, November 25. We will return on Monday November 30. We have an Art Day Incentive on Tuesday November 24 and a special three-way switch with Mrs. Wisniewski and Mrs. Elliott!
Last week we enjoyed learning about our Star Student, Logan. Logan told us about his time at the fair (even though he got sick!) He enjoys spending time with his family up at their cottage. Logan plays zombies with his friends and watches SyFy on TV.
Edward continued visiting the homes of our classmates by visiting Zahir's house last week, where he was dressed up in DOLL CLOTHES! The kids enjoyed hearing about the adventure.
Thank YOU for making Parent-Teacher conferences such a success! I enjoyed meeting with all of you to brag about your wonderful children! During conferences, parents were given the opportunity to "tweet" a note to their child. Here is what we ended up with! Parents were also challenged to guess how many candy corn were in our Estimation Jar. The winner was........ Mrs. Tina Stevenson, Zahir's mom! She was the closest to the actual number, which was 97. Mrs. Stevenson will enjoy a coffee or iced cold Coke from McDonalds! Thank you to all who participated!
Just over a week ago we learned about our Star Student, Mattus. Mattus adores his little brother Dodge. He likes to spend time at his Uncle Justin's house and play ball and ride bikes with friends. Mattus loves football and video games!
Just a reminder that students will have 1/2 days on Tuesday November 17 and Wednesday November 18 for Parent-Teacher conferences. If you have not yet had a conference, your conference is scheduled on Tuesday. These families will meet with me on Tuesday:
Amari Braeden Tyler Mattus Notes with reminder times will go home with students on Monday! Our class would like to offer a very special thank you to all of those who have served or are serving our country now!
